Bedtime Story Conservatory 20 15/04/2020
Moi and hello,
Today has been a lazy day, as many days are at the moment, which of course is both a privilege and a blight. I still hope this series provides some sort of comfort and respite, and that it fits between your schedule at some point, or somehow acts as a source of self-care in these somewhat difficult days, or both, or somewhere in-between.
Today's reading is 4 short poems by Lena Schwingshandl. Lena is an exchange student from Vienna at Kuvataideakatemia in the Time and Space department. The poems are beautifully simple, and I think speak to the introspection many of us are forced to undertake at this time. The poems are titled as follows, in order of appearance-
How I Feel
I'm OK
Untitled
Your Face
"Lena Schwingshandl, born 1994 in Vienna, works with photography, performance and mixed media. Inspired through observations in everyday life situations, she is testing both her own borders and the ones of others. Her works often concern intimacy. In permanent reflection with her surroundings, she’s constantly dealing with her relationship to herself and to others."
