Hello everyone,

Just sent the last email by accident, oops. 5 minutes later, I still hope you are still doing well still in your hidey holes which are still there still.

Today's email is all about things that give me goosebumps, I hope they do you too. Here is a lovely video of Daniel Johnston, someone I have been obsessed with this last week, singing "I Live By My Broken Dreams". Beautiful-

Today's reading is Sol Lewitt's Letter to Eva Hesse 1965. Lewitt, a pioneer in conceptual and minimalist art, and Hesse, a pioneer in post-minimalist art, became friends 5 years prior to this letter. Hesse reached out to Lewitt for consolation in a moment of self-doubt and a lack of motivation, to which Lewitt reacted with this message.

I read this a few years ago and it has constantly been a source of motivation and clarification for me, it gives me goosebumps every time I read it.

I will note that at this moment in time, it can feel like motivation is expected of us constantly. Even though this letter specifically refers to art, and production of art, I think it's message can be expanded to everyone in it's compassion and liberating force.

The song attached to the beginning and end of the track is (yes) Daniel Johnston's 'True Love Will Find You In The End'. I like to think true love means to love myself too.
