Hello all,

Today's email is about 'reaching out'. Reaching out to touch something, reaching inwards to feel something, reaching out across the world by extending your arm like a giant metaphorical elastic stretch toy, reaching out and getting so close to something that it is on the very tip of your tongue, finger, any extremity, not yet touching it, but it's there, it's definitely there, maybe you just don't need to touch it yet.

A 'self-portrait' painting dating back over 37,000 years ago in the cave of El Castillo (Puente Viesgo, Spain), made by chewing pigment and spitting it over the edges of the hand.

Today's reading is the last part of the first chapter of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby 1925. This one is short but sweet.

For those who haven't read the book, which is another one which a lot of people seemed to read in school, the story follows Nick, who moves to the fictional town of West Egg in Long Island. His neighbour is a mysterious man named Jay Gatsby, who lives in a huge Gothic mansion.

The song attached to the beginning and end of the recording is Irma Thomas's Anyone Who Knows What Love Is 1968.

I hope you are safe and well, lots of love and warm wishes,
