Hello everyone,

The pasta is boiling in the pot, the sun is kind of out and the kitchen is kind of dim, it's a medium day. So is life. I hope your day has had some beauty in it, as this sun is injecting a little into my kitchen and my pasta pot. I don't have the energy to fill this email with too much stuff today, I kind of am by writing this, but here is a screenshot of a video I took of the sun-

Today's reading is a short excerpt from Hito Steyerl's The Wretched of the Screen 2012. Steyerl is a German artist and filmmaker, known for being a key figure in the field of 'essay documentaries'. The short excerpt talks about the 'poor image', or images of poor visual quality, that permeate online and offline visual culture.
