Bedtime Story Conservatory 56 22/05/2020
Hello everyone,
Today, as with many days, I have been struggling with making decisions, and whether these decisions sit within me as formed from my own opinion, thoughts and experiences, or as formed by the opinions, thoughts and experiences of others. I know I have made the right decision when I feel light inside me, when I feel something unclog like a blocked drain, or rather when I feel like I feel like something has unclogged like a blocked drain. Specifically it feels like this feeling is felt in what I just found out is called the 'lower oesophagul sphincter', pictured here-
Nice to remember that that is inside me, mildly disturbing but mostly comforting in that I have a functioning body that's keeping my brain thinking, and not the other way around.

Here is a quote from a 'satisfied customer' I found on the bottom of and on many of the PDF download pages I have accessed for this project. Here it is in the form of a poem, read out loud for full effect:
It is really an awesome pdf
that I actually have
actually study.
It really is basic
but excitement
from the 50 % of the publication.
I am delighted to inform you that here is
the greatest book i have
read through
within my individual
existence
and can be he finest publication for actually.

Today's reading is from this journal I found today after looking at a William S. Burroughs text I wanted to read. The recording is 4 texts from the Iowa Review (Volume 26, Issue 3, 1996 Fall), which compiles poems, fiction, creative non-fiction and other methods of writing from established and emerging artists and writers. These are the titles of the poems/small stories read today in order of appearance:
Disappearance: A Backwards Waltz 1996, Rochelle Nameroff.
Ghost Story 1996, Gordon Lish.
Good Things Come to Those Who Wait 1996, Noelle Kocot.
And the Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks 1996, Andrew Russell.
I found these whilst searching for another text with the same title as the 4th text today, by William S. Burroughs, which he collaborated with Jack Kerouac on. I couldn't find it, but I found these instead.
Today I have been feeling inner noise, inner scream, and these texts mash language, images, memories and perceptions together in this fast and noisy way which feels like they're oscillating towards some sort of breaking point, or on the other hand, clarity, especially in the last text.
The song attached to the reading is Mash it Up Harry 1997 by Ian Dury and the Blockheads.
