Hello everyone,

With this project, I can feel it slipping between my fingers slightly. I don't want it to, and I think that it is self-doubt rather than a lapse in my love for the project itself. I enjoy doing this, a lot, and even though I can feel a lapse in my concentration that does not mean that I should punish myself, I don't know why i'm putting this in the email but I just realised it and maybe this is kind of cathartic writing it down.

Anyway, again, to every new person who has joined this, and to everyone who has been with this project since whatever time, thank you for keeping your finger on this pulse.

Today's reading is an excerpt from Don't Be a Jerk: And Other Practical Advice from Dogen, Japan's Greatest Zen Master 2016 by Brad Warner. In this book, Warner applies the Zen teachings of Dogen, thought to be often difficult to read and inaccessible, to modern times. Brad Warner (1964) is an American Zen monk, author, blogger, documentarian and punk rock bass guitarist.
