Bedtime Story Conservatory 11 06/04/2020
Hello,
It has been lovely to see a lot of faces on skype/zoom/teams today and in general, I keep having to remind myself, and I hope it acts as a reminder to you, that we are all still real! We are all still here! We walk on the same ground and under the same sky.
Today's reading is Graham Greene's The Destructors 1954, as per a very welcome request by a member of this list (thank you to you and to everyone who has sent suggestions so far!). Graham Green was a pioneering English writer of the 20th century. He considered this text to be one of the best he has ever written. It follows the story of a gang of young boys post-London Blitz, who endeavour to destroy an elderly man's house.
I hope you enjoy it, it's fantastic, hilarious and heartbreaking all at the same time.
I also want to take this opportunity to again mention that if anyone has any feedback in any form, what you think about the readings, the choices, my reading voice, if anything can be improved/continued, let me know, I would love to hear from you in any capacity.
