Bedtime Story Conservatory 24 19/04/2020
Hey everyone,
Once again, do not worry if you are not keeping up with these readings, I hope that sometimes you tune in for some peace, but if not don't worry, I just hope you are well and happy in your cocoons. It's been a while now since this all kicked off, but compassion is still essential.
Today's reading is a the beginning of W.G. Sebald's The Rings of Saturn 1995. Sebald was a German writer and academic, who lived and worked in and around Norfolk and Suffolk after moving there in the early 70's. The book is a biographical description of various walks the writer goes on in this region, and his reflections on moments from world history and culture, which his surroundings on these walks manifests in his memory and extensive knowledge.
