Hello everyone,

Today I went out to the shop, and buying food I treated myself to an electric razor, I know, how exciting. But it felt good and I wanted to share that with you today, don't forget to thank yourself for the small things.

I also want to share with you this photo. I was by myself on a beach in Tynemouth, on the coast, east of Newcastle, and it was getting dark and it was one of the first moments in my life in which I felt truly, and comfortably, alone.

I then tried to film myself in the water, I swam in and turned around and realised that the tide has gone in a little, and saw my camera floating on the water. It broke, but I was still happy.

Today's reading is a short story by Natsume Sōseki entitled The Third Night 1908. The story is from a ten-part series, Ten Nights of Dreams, in which Sōseki writes of ten dreams, set in various time periods, including the Meiji period in which he lived.

I think this is fitting with the bizarre dreams people over the world seem to be reporting right now.

The song attached to the beginning and end of the recording is Firesuite 2000 by Doves.
