Hello everybody,

Today I've been dealing with spinning spinning spinning in my own head and trying to solidify myself again and ground myself so I can function properly, I've managed it just about now, thanks to myself, thanks to working on this project,  and therefore thanks to you. Big love.

Today's reading is about laughter and animals, and human's attributing our understanding of humour to animals.

The reading is called Sense of Humour and Reason in Animals, and its a short excerpt from an 1875 article by George J. Romanes in a journal supplementing The Descent of Man by Charles Darwin. Romanes was a Canadian-Scots physiologist and evolutionary biologist.

Although the text is of course very dated, and I would presume that the human races understanding of animal behaviour is far more advanced today, I think it is still interesting as simply observational evidence of humans personifying animals. It got me excited when I was reading it, so maybe it's worth sharing.

The sound attached to the beginning and end of the recording is a sound I found on Freesound called psychohyenalaff.mp3, it's some sort of digitised laugh blending the digital the human and the animal into one sound, I thought it might be interesting to see what would happen putting that with this reading from 1875.

TO NOTE: Tomorrow I may not have access to the equipment for making these recordings, so there may not be a reading, apologies for this.

Here is a link to the reading-
