Bedtime Story Conservatory 5 31/03/2020
Hello! ❤️
This is the 5th day of this series of recordings, and I hope this email finds you well and safe. Here is a video and a sketch I watched today from Scottish comedian Brion Limond, or 'Limmy', which really made me laugh-

Today's reading is quite short, just 2 minutes, and begins with a sort of 'folk' nonsense poem, in that it's source is unidentified, which I used to hear a lot as a kid.
It then moves on to Margaret Wise Brown's Goodnight Moon 1947, an American children's book/poem which sold over 40 million copies:
"Maintaining a childlike perspective was the key to her work, but throughout her life, Brown worried that she had failed to grow up—even as she approached 40, she was painting glow-in-the-dark stars over the bed in her New York apartment."
"Reviewers have described the book as less a story than “an incantation" (Smithsonian Magazine)
