Bedtime Story Conservatory 52 18/05/2020
Hello everyone,
Today is the 50th edition of Bedtime Story Conservatory. Happy 50th birthday to this project, today I feel energised. I also managed to open my big window in my room to let some fresh air and sun in. Today's email is written incited by that fresh air and sun.
I've been thinking a lot about this project being a collage of virtual, mental and physical images conjured up by putting text, songs, images and readings together day after day, some sort of narrative is forming, I don't know what, but I am comforted that I can rely on processes that are beyond my control to form that narrative, that life and energy of the project, through the choices that I make as a result of my situation and self on the day. I suppose that can be applied to a lot of things right now.
Again, thank you for your continued reading of these emails. 50 emails have been sent to you and sit in your inbox, but maybe the inbox isn't a real place, and (at least I hope) those emails aren't backed up like a blocked pipe that won't budge, but instead are just there, envelopes, you can reach in and grab something if you like, something might be there, might not, no expectations, no pressure.
I like to think all these emails are a box of photographs in the loft, you know they're there, you've seen some, you might not have seen others, but those others are waiting, maybe, for you to pick them up one day, when you feel like it. You're interest in those photographs, and in these readings and emails, does not have to be immediate, it does not even need to happen ever, the photographs don't demand your attention, they just exist, they're there, and are hopefully, through physical or in this case virtual proximity, a warming presence.
Maybe this 50 number, half of this 100 number, can be a comfort, 50 days have past, you're still here, i'm still here, thanks for being here, there, everywhere, in the brain, on the web, on the ground. 100 is on it's way.

Today's reading is one of my own, which I have just this second named I Remember Things, which I recorded 30 minutes ago sitting under my duvet and blanket, the warm lamp next to me, looking at some notes in my sketchbook and recollecting about some memories which pop into my head.
It is slow, I was very calm, very warm and by putting myself into that setting, felt myself closer to you. The microphone became a cup on a string.
The song attached to the reading is by one of my favourite artist's Martin Creed, it's called I Can't Move 2012.
