Bedtime Story Conservatory 53 19/05/2020
Hello everyone,
Past the 50 mark, teetered on the edge and now the up or down or round and round route to number 100, at which point, who knows, but it's there.
If you are feeling any pent up anger, frustration, knots and twists, this is a good song to listen to-
And maybe something a little warmer too, which my friend sent me the other day (thank you)-
----
Today's I've been flowing between feeling completely chilled and kind of manic, active, inactive etc. I hope that you feel good today, its really hard to let myself flow through these things and not try to fight them and push myself to become level-headed, that will happen naturally, I suppose. Hope you are well and as level-headed as you can be right now, if not, it will come. Lots of love.

Today's reading is 4 poems by Kate Tempest. The first is the beginning of one of her songs Whoops 2016, the second is Fuck the Poem 2014, the third On Clapton Pond at Dawn 2014 and Hold Your Own 2014. Tempest is a poet, spoken word performer, recording artist, novelist and playwright from England;
"There is something really magic about the couple of hours before dawn,” she says. “You’re recharged, the day before is gone, but there are no requirements. You don’t belong to anybody, to anything. That time lends itself to lyricism because of the repetitive nature of insomniac thoughts."
"If I’m going to engage with somebody I engage with all of myself, which is why it’s dangerous. Do you understand? I don’t exist on the surface." - Guardian
I listened to her song Whoops when I used to be quite a bit more angsty than I am now, and it was strange bringing the lyrics of a song which I had heard so many times into this context, there was a struggle between my voice and her voice. I listened to the song again 10 minutes ago and it's amazing how strong nostalgia is as an exciting and energising force. Yippee!!
